What Egypt Can Teach Us About Radical Islam

Radical Islam was a common topic on the campaign trail this cycle, but unfortunately, it was only mentioned as a sound bite. While Americans have been focused on their own political issues, Egypt has been playing out its own which may be offering hints on how to effectively deal with radial Islam. Foreign Policy Research Institute suggests that attempting to repress radicalism only serves to increase the size and strength of radical Islamic organizations, and they are basing this theory on what they have observed on the ground in Egypt. Is it possible that the real solution to radical Islam is to let it exist as a religious minority?
