Rethinking Government Role in Commercial Aviation

Since infrastructure turned into a campaign issue this season, there’s talk about updates to our commercial aviation infrastructure, in particular our Air Traffic Control (ATC) system. Cato Institute challenges the notion that the federal government needs to be involved in this system at all. Do you think that air travel would be safer and more efficient if our ATC system was managed privately?
