For whatever reason, it seems that parents are not necessarily concerned about how much violence kids see. Any video game store salesperson can tell you that parents are more likely to buy a game for an age group higher than their children actually are if the warning is about excessive violence. According to the Annenberg Public Policy Center, that attitude might be seeping into movies as well. Apparently there is more gun violence in PG-13 movies, and it’s trending upward.
