Paid Family and Medical Leave — A Polarizing Issue

According to a study conducted by the Pew Research Center, the majority of Americans support policies that would ensure workers receive financial support when they take off time for family and medical reasons. The study, however, also reveals that there is a disparity of opinion on this issue. While it would appear that support for paid family and medical leave is relatively popular, it is not, overall, perceived as a priority by many Americans when compared with issues such terrorism, the economy, education, and jobs.
