LGBTQ+ Americans and Society

June is Pride month, and all over the country, there are many marches and events to mark the occasion. In recent years, attitudes have continued to shift with regard to people who are LGBTQ+, and, to an extent, the Supreme Court decision in 2015, to legalize same-sex marriage, has contributed to this trend. According to the Pew Research Center, most American adults feel that homosexuality should not be ostracized by society, and accepted. Pew has put together a list of “5 key findings about LGBT Americans”, which includes a number of important statistics.
